Statement from Nelson and James Alexander (JALEX LIVESTOCK) 10/10/2023
We find it necessary to address recent rumours circulating regarding our alleged involvement in illegal drug smuggling activities. We categorically deny these false and baseless claims, and we are taking immediate steps to set the record straight.
We have always operated with integrity, transparency, and adherence to the law. The spreading of such malicious and unfounded rumours not only damages our reputation but also unfairly drags the names of our valued customers, hauliers, and suppliers into an unwarranted controversy.
The personal and professional impact of these rumours is difficult to explain - suffice to say that this is not a victimless crime and as such we want to assure our stakeholders that we are actively working to dispel these rumours and have taken the following actions:
1. Engaging Legal Counsel: We have sought legal advice to explore avenues for taking action against those responsible for spreading false information.
2. Cooperating with Authorities: We are fully cooperating with PSNI to conduct a thorough investigation into the origin of these rumours.
We understand the concern this situation may have caused, and we deeply value the trust and relationships we have built over the years. We can assure you this distraction is not affecting our preparation for the upcoming Jalex Select sale – commencing Saturday 21st October 12noon.
Thank you for your continued support.
James Alexander
